First off, I want to say I have no idea what I'm doing.
No guarantees are made concerning the accuracy of the material presented in this study guide. I took the GRE Literature subject test November 2014, and we will not talk about my score, because the word dismal is a tragic understatement.
That being said, I've spoken to quite a few successful takers of the test, and all of them have suggested taking the test cold (which I have), and then six months worth of preparation before taking the test again. Trying to wrap my brain around how to study all of English literature--which is near an impossibility, and my interests lie in American twentieth century lit, not British--I thought maybe a blog on each topic I'm attempting to tackle might lend some focus.
So there you go. The first in a series: Steve's Beowulf (GRE) Study Guide.
